HISTORY
PRC Medical was founded in 1976 by George Curley, a pioneer in the electronic receivables management industry, to provide electronic billing and receivables management services for radiologists. As the business grew, the company began developing its own billing software platform that it could control and tailor to meet the unique needs of its clients. The company was a pioneer in software application hosting, first using a Wide Area Network and later transitioning its software deployment to the Internet (Cloud). Later it determined that electronic health records (EHR) could complement its technology and service offering and began developing its own EHR software. The company transitioned successfully to its second generation of leadership, serves clients across the country, is recognized as one of the “Top 99 Workplaces” in Northeast Ohio, and continues to serve radiologists, and also image-guided procedure specialists, throughout the US. The company markets its technology and services under the brand name StreamlineMD, which is a wholly owned subsidiary of PRC Medical.
