RUC Surveys are now open for new & revised CPT codes – Radiologists, your input is very important! The American College of Radiology (ACR) is currently gathering physician work data through RUC surveys to help determine the relative value of several radiology procedures. These surveys support recommendations to CMS for inclusion in the 2027 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule (MPFS).
Codes Under Review:
- Intraosseous Fiducial Marker Placement – 2 new/revised codes
- Percutaneous Lumbar Decompression – 1 code
- Revision of Sacroiliac Joint Arthrodesis – 2 codes
What Radiologists Need to Know:
- If you’ve received a survey invitation, your response is critical—it influences how future payments are determined.
- These surveys are randomly distributed, and only one response per provider per code family is needed—even if multiple societies contact you.
- Data collected will be submitted at the September 2025 AMA RUC meeting in Chicago.
Why Participate?
Because valuation recommendations from these surveys directly impact your future reimbursement rates and influence CMS policymaking for high-value radiology services.
