CALL TO ACTION: CMS Proposes Significant Cuts in 2021

CMS has released its “Proposed” Rule for 2021 Physician Fee Schedules on August 3, 2020.

The Take-Away: The major take away from the Proposed Rule for 2021 is significant cuts to allowed amounts for Imaging and Image-Guided Procedures.

Proposed Cuts: Current estimated reductions included in the Proposed Rule for Imaging & Image-Guided Procedure Specialists are:

  • Diagnostic Imaging: -11%
  • Image-Guided Procedures: -9%

Contact Your Congressional Representative Today: According to the CardioVascular Coalition (CVC), organizations representing more than 300,000 physicians and 870,000 non-physician health care providers across the United States are urging Congress to pass legislation to stop arbitrary Medicare cuts and protect patient access to medically necessary services. The CVC is working with the AMA and a coalition of specialty providers to correct these cuts. We need you to contact your Members of Congress and ask them to contact Congressman Rush who is leading the effort to avert these cuts.
